More Tron 2.0
Sep. 28th, 2005 01:01 amAs you can probably tell. I'm having fun with Tron 2.0 here are a couple of more screenshots from the game:
( Screenshots inside )
The game of course looks better in motion than seeing the screenshots and it could use some antialiasing but I figured I would put some anyway.
It makes me feel like watching the movie again which I haven't watched in a while I think I might do that tomorrow.
Oh yeah, I did get through the Light cycles portion of the game and it was pretty cool because they had the floor shiny and with things like that it looked nicer than the movie. Which brings me to an interesting point. Back in '82 they had to use huge Cray supercomputers to render the frames of animation individually not in real time more like 1 frame a day. Then they had to have people touch them up afterwards by hand. But now even a small computer like mine can do in real time things that are equal or better to what they did.
Edit: I found some more special effects settings to turn on so the game looks a bit better. This is in a later level where you are inside your own personal computer and there is the program who retrieves e-mail for you:
