It must be at least a month or two since I last made a peep here. I'm still alive and I have my new computer! Here's a quick screenshot from it. The OS is of course Snow Leopard. I'll do a more detailed post about my new iMac later. This is mostly a heads up post.

I like these shelves.... errr.. speakers. They are supposed to be speakers that also double as shelves. I am imagining them three in the same line in the front as front speakers beneath a mounted LCDTV and two to four on the sides for surrounds speakers.

I can't believe the clothes here are adidas. If they are going to plaster the adidas logo somewhere I hope it's minimalistic. I especially want that coat. I'll pass on the green one though.

I love these DiY monster speakers as well. I could see myself making them and putting them on little wall mounted shelves like they are perched there.

What have I been up to lately? Well while I'm on my break I have been doing a lot of resting but I also have caught a couple of movies from netflix and I have started playing a multiplayer online game with a friend regularly.

The two movies I saw recently are 300 and AvP: Requiem. People are probably right that AvP: Requiem isn't a good movie but it is always nice to me to see a new story with those monsters in it. I really liked the spoiler ) that was in the movie.

300 was interesting. I think it may have been a little too racy to see with the folks but otherwise it was pretty good. I almost thought that King Leonidis was going to be hollering throughout the whole thing but there where times when he didn't yell. It was also pretty intersting seeing the actress who plays the new Sarah Connor in the terminator the sarah Connor chronicles TV show as the Queen in the movie.

The game a friend of mine and I are playing together lately is Star Trek Voyager Elite Force. I generally play as Captain Janeway and she plays as 7 of 9. We typically play as a team against another team of aliens. But there is this one mode I'd like to try soon called assimilation where it's your team against a bunch of borg. Those borg like in the show can adapt to your weapons and when they kill you you switch sides until either the humans win or the borg assimilates everyone. The borg are basically like zombies in that mode and they only have one weapon and move slower than regular bots\players.. I also downloaded a bunch TOS stuff for our use in the game. Basically we get our geek on with that game.

I enjoy looking at pictures of other people's places especially if they have interesting things. I sometimes would look at certain sites of people I knew because they feature photo galleries of their living areas.. particularly where they keep their computers. I've also noticed that there are some communities here in LJ that feature photos of peoples rooms. Well I am not sure I want to put mine there right now but in my own journal it's fair game. So here is a tour of my current room now that I've been settled in for almost a year (warning, quite a few photos inside):

We'll begin With a spin Traveling in The world of my creation What we'll see Will defy Explanation.... )

Some of this is recycled from my Twitter but since I don't have loudtwitter setup anymore it's OK. Especially since I want to talk a bit more about these than fits into a twitter message.

Cool Looking "TV Wall" - I was looking at some of the interior design blogs I look at daily such as Apartment Therapy and its sister site unplggd and I came across this photoset. I really dig this persons style most of the stuff she has is retro in some kind of way. She also has a Mac Mini hooked up to her TV.

I used to have a "Visible Man" when I was younger and I used to keep it at the top of my shelf but one day I decided to take it down and dismantle it and I then lost all the pieces and subsequently the rest of it. It's too bad too because I would put it with my other decoration like she has.

This screensaver (for Mac or PC) is interesting\funny to me. It's like when they show spy holes in paintings in movies. It also reminds me of how my family used to have an old photo of (I think) my late grandma in their bedroom. It was the kind that was B&W but colorized... The eyes always used to look like they where following me around the room. It used to freak me out and made me want to hurry in and out of their room whenever I had to go in there.

M.U.S.C.L.E. Usb Thingies (Kinnikuman in Japan) - Are interesting to me. One reason is because I used to collect the small pink mini figures when I was a child. I still have a bunch in a jar on a shelf right now. One thing that is funny about the USB thingies is that topless robot thought they where humping. But it looks like it may be that they are just doing sit-ups. I can see where the confusion comes from though as the USB protusions and poses look kind of wrong.

They may have thought that because there was a USB dog that did that. They also got something else wrong.. they don't have internal flash memory. It's too bad too because both that and the USB dog would be more useful if they did. They could also make it so they only animate when file writing activity is happening. I think one person modified their USB dog to have those features but it would be nice if it came standard.

Full because I just had a sub sammitch.

Anyway.. I realize that I haven't updated my livejournal in a while... nor have I checked my friends list that much lately. I just haven't felt up to it lately... I kind of wanted to update today though and I have a few things which I have realized I probably should make LJ entries of... such as:

I am checking out a page that is full of cute\funny\interesting stuff. Some of my favorite things are:

Panda Skillet - I could see me cooking in this. Yes, I do cook.

Domo-kun Plush - Need I say more? I WANT!

Stiloso Rojo Headphones - I first saw these at urban outfitters and thought they where cool in a retro sort of way. They probably sound real good too. I tend to prefer this style of headphones from a sound perspective and these look pretty nice to boot. It has an inline mic and works with the iPhone so it would be ideal for that if I ever got one.

poyoccho eye pillow - I'm including this here just because it's so silly! May be nice though.

These Zipper Pulls - Are cute!

If you look around that page you may find other stuff that you may like. I didn't want to list too much here. I also liked urban outfitters as well.

What I could really use though is a set of quirky\cute drink coasters for my desk. If anyone can recommend any please leave a comment!
