Full because I just had a sub sammitch.
Anyway.. I realize that I haven't updated my livejournal in a while... nor have I checked my friends list that much lately. I just haven't felt up to it lately... I kind of wanted to update today though and I have a few things which I have realized I probably should make LJ entries of... such as:
I upgraded to Leopard yesterday. I was holding off and I felt that even without theming software like shapeshifter available I had waited long enough. Things went fine and I have been customizing and modding like crazy. Some of the new features are good and it's nice using the built in virtual desktops. The way the windows slide around when you switch desktops so reminds me of the (real) Enlightenment desktop.
Quicklook is pretty interesting. I have started installing plugins for it for non-default file formats such as .cbr (comic book archive). I installed "Simple Comic" which came with the quicklook plugin for those files.
However not everything is fine and dandy under Leopard. All my Doom 3 engine games are now broken. I don't know if it was becuase of the copy I had to use to install Leopar or because I did an upgrade rather than a fresh install but now all my Doom 3 engine games are unable to load their textures or bump maps and their lighting is wonky. I tried to get support from Aspyr but as with a lot of problems I can't find my own help to they are unable to help. All they say is my computer is unsupported and closed my support ticket.
My only choices when it comes to those games are to either wait until I get a new Mac or downgrade to Tiger it seems. Older games like American McGee's Alice work fine.
My birthday is coming up on the 25th but I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I think me and my family may go watch a movie at least when it's my dad's birthday (the 31st). I'm strongly leaning towards X-Files at the moment.
Silent Hill 5 (aka homecoming) is coming to the PC it has been recently announced. They also revealed that the Pyramid Head is going to be in it. Some people are having issues with that because he's supposed to be a manifistation specific to the character in Silent Hill 2 so he's not supposed to appear outside his view of the world. I'm sure they are probably going to explain it somehow. I didn't mind when he was in the movie which I liked as well.
