Buckaroo Banzai

For the longest time I had been remembering a movie where they drove a special kind of car which went into another dimension with what looked like ghosts and I remember it had John Lithgow looking like a funky mad scientist in it. I just couldn't remember what movie it was. But then I saw "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension" and then I was like.. I guess this must be the film I was thinking of. I also remember there being slime on the car and a funky creature leftover. I thought it wasn't going to happen in this movie but then just now I did see that! So.. this is the movie I have been remembering but couldn't put my finger on which it was. Some of it was pretty low budget and they even wore bubble wrap goggles. It's a pretty cheesy movie and some may even call it a B movie. But I enjoy stuff like that sometimes. Cheesy B movies can be fun! I'm also a fan of any Sci-Fi movie that has Peter Weller in it.
