They have been showing a lot of commercials on TV for Marriott's "new ultra adaptable rooms". So I checked out their web site for it to investigate and read what could be considered the fine print. It's not as cool as it may seem from the commercials. The commercials make it seem like you get a bunch of ultra cool displays, speakers out the wazoo in a transforming room like in a sci-fi movie. Click on the "watch TV spots" link to see what I mean. But really you are just getting a 32 inch TV that is lower than HD resolution at 1366x768 and a few jacks on the front of the cabinet it's on to plug in the equipment you bring with you. Keep in mind that full HD is 1920x1080. So they are cutting corners and using marketing to make it look cooler than it really is. It's practically false advertisement. I also read that it's not going to be in all their rooms so it just makes them look cheaper than they already did to me putting in the type of TVs they are putting in there. Watch them also want to charge a premium for those rooms since they have spun them to look so ultra techy. When all you are getting most likely is a regular looking hotel room with a rather common cheap wally world LCD TV in it.
