Eh? (Sex circa 2006), and Music
Sep. 25th, 2006 11:53 amOk so here I was starting off my day when I stumbled upon this article. WTF? Blow jobs are the new second base? Girls calling themselves "mostly straight" rather than bi even though they might like to have sex with other girls sometimes? And what's this.......... a "bro job" (no that's not engrish)? =p Call me not free thinking or whatever but those things just I don't know.. I just can't say I agree with that article. What people do on their own time in private is their business, yes. But when they start expecting me to do those behaviors too and especially put me down for not doing it then it becomes my business.
I feel like these people especially some of the ones making comments are trying to force these kind of things on me saying things such as, "The world is trying to become more "out of the box" and "free-thinking", and the fact that people with mindsets like yours exist is one of the reasons it is trying so hard." So what are they going to do, round people up who don't agree with them into death camps? Because ohhhhhhhhh noooooo... we can't be allowed to exist! I am almost like do they want to brainwash people like me into thinking that blow jobs are second base? Perhaps next there will be only one base.. a home run and that's it. =p
Do people have to do all kinds of stupid things before they are able to make "mature decisions"? That just rubs me the wrong way. Even if everyone else starts believing risky behaviors are ok that doesn't mean I have to. You see... I'm not trying to contain people in a box but when they in any way try to force themselves on me they are trying to contain me in their own box, so to speak. It's like the old cliche, "If your friends jumped off a cliff would you too?". I'm not about to join anyone jumping off a cliff. They say this particular generation especially the teenagers are trying to differentiate themselves but I'm like if the differences are in stupid ways then let them be different I plead no contest... I don't want to compete with them. If my own generation (20 something) is the same then I want to disassociate myself from them.
I also think this article is a load. You can appreciate all kinds of music and that doesn't have any bearing on how much money you make or whether or not you got a PHD. When someone makes an assumption like that they call it, correlation and causation. Just because some people who make a certain amount of money like a particular artist that doesn't mean that's the reason why they like that artist.
