Quicktime

Since the last update to Quicktime it looks like it has taken on the same UI layout as it has in Leopard but it has once again partially broken themes most of the playback buttons aren't themed again:

You can see how only the play button is themed there... when you play the video the pause button is unthemed.

If themepark and appskins weren't such a pain in the ass I would do it myself. =P

Themes have started coming out that skin Quicktime on the mac! For those on windows imagine is if it's as windowblinds or visual styles can automatically skin itunes and quicktime\wmp\winamp\other program on windows instead of having to apply a seperate skin!

I think my family might be coming over tomorrow so I did some cleaning today and it's good too because I need a couple of necessities and I will also be able to get my router for my cable modem. I have been meanig to make a list this afternoon but

I have been watching a good series on Nicktoons called Martin Mystery. It's sort of like an anime series that has 2 teens and a time traveling caveman who investigate paranormal events. It's not the sort of stuff they usually play on Nicktoons. It has funny parts and funky things they investigate and I really like the characters. My only complaint is that they don't have a lot of episodes yet. Adia and I have seen all the currently available episodes together.

I have noticed that HD DIVX or XVID play better than HD Quicktime or HD WMV so I have been trying out re-encoding the latter to the former. I am using a program called ffmpegX and so far so good it seems I'm re-encoding the zathura HD trailer (revisited) to HD XVID as I type this. To me it seems when HD is concerned DIVX or XVID are more efficient than MOV and WAY more efficient than WMV which plays like absolute crap on my Mac using flip4mac component for quicktime.
