I'm glad that I didn't splurge on the Creative Zen Stone I was looking at this past couple of weeks. Sony has just come out with a Zen Stone Plus that has twice as much storage and a little screen to display track info. Plus other minor additions like FM Radio, Karaoke Mode and Stopwatch. ;) The only downside is that the new one is going to be 20 dollars more which kind of strays into iPod shuffle territory... pricewise.

A company has come out with cheapish video cards in of the GeForce 8 variety but since they are saddled with slower VRAM than typical cards of that series they might not be able to handle the stuff they should be able to.. as in that DirectX10 stuff.... and it probably runs games\Vista slower as well.

I don't know if you can find an MP3 player smaller than this one. It even has FM Radio to boot (no FM transmitting though I don't think). If it had FM Transmitting you could swallow it and then when you get near a radio tuned to the right frequency music would start playing. ;) Just kidding... only a fool would do such a thing. =P I still sort of like how the iPod Shuffle has a clip to clip it to your clothes better. This player should have a pin on the other side that has one of those little grippy things so you can pin it to your clothes. If it had FM Transmitting and a pin it would be awesome I would have it pinned to my clothes whenever I leave the house.

This player seems interesting because it does have FM Transmitting and you wear it on your wrist because it is also a wristwatch. Sure it may not be convenient to have a cord going to your wrist to listen to music but it would be cool to use its FM Transmitting to listen to it in the car without having to use any cords. But the watch still looks a bit too bulky for my tastes.

These players would be perfect if they where chic, had FM Transmitting, and wireless bluetooth headphones. But that's probably too much to hope for at this moment.

It's called a lifepop boom box. I'm going to buy one andwalk down the street acting cool holding that on my shoulder like people used to with regular ghetto blasters. ;)

My family got me the upgraded model of the MP3 player I have which is neat because it has voice recording. It's also slim like the iPod Nano and has twice as much space as my old player so I can carry more music. I can carry around 70 songs and have enough space for 40 minutes of voice recording (It has a built in mic). It has a built in rechargeable battery which charges via USB. So that's one less battery to worry about. Now I just need an FM transmitter that either has a rechargeable battery or runs off the cigarette lighter in the car.

I have a tape deck adaptor for devices that have a headphone jack like an MP3 player\Discman, etc. but the tape player in my car is broken. When you try to put a tape\the adaptor in it spits it out right away. So I'm thinking of giving that adaptor to my Dad so he can listen to the older MP3 Player I gave to him so he can listen to it in his truck. I could have given it to him the other day but they didn't stay long that day and I forgot.

Is it just me or have the prices of MP3 players been jacked up lately? It seems so at Walgreens anyway. For example they have the MP3 player I own stocked which is sort of like a faux white 1st gen iPod Mini with 256MB of flash memory there now for nearly 60 dollars. I payed around 30-40 dollars when I bought it.

As an update to that they also have a dark grey and dark silver slimmer faux iPod look alike with a built in rechargable battery from the same company with 512MB and voice recording for 80 dollars now. Considering how you don't have to always be buying AAA batteries for the second player and it has more space you can hold twice as much music on it I say it's the better deal especially with the extra features. It would also look better next to my flat panel monitor and cordless phone which have a similar color scheme.

Either way though they are expensive I think the older white player should be around 30 dollars and the second player should be around 40-50 dollars.

I bet though you can find better deals online and perhaps bigger capacities... I see an interesting one on that site already. Which is pretty cool if you have spare memory cards lying around that you can fill up with songs and take with you on the go. But I like the style of that 512MB audio solutions MP3 player more.

By the way, you have to take the number of songs they say a player can hold with a grain of salt. On a 256MB player on average you can fit about 30-40 songs depending on quality\size and their quote of hundreds of songs is based on if you are putting in low quality short songs. On the 512MB player I'd say I'd be able to fit around 70 songs, and on a 1GB player about 140 songs.
