Looks like The GIMP 2.4 has come out of release candidate. The new version isn't available for OS X yet though. RC3 is but it's only in intel format.... I hope the gimp.app people compile the final soon like they say the will on their web page.

What I would like is a native GIMP that integrates with the OS X menubar and theme... but I have seen some people are working on it. I'm not holding my breath but it'll be cool and they are partway there with this native GIMP that uses the system menubar:

Here's a screenshot.... now all they need is a theme that grabs the system resources like GTK-WIMP on Windows. Something like this.

Then I can stop using GIMP on X11.. that's the only thing I'm using X11 for presently. But again I'm not holding my breath because I've been waiting years for that stuff to be released.
