Today's video is one that I'm posting because not only is it a good tech demo for the motion capture system Quantic Dream uses it's quite the little movie besides. The performance is really good although contrary to the article I found this from it's still not quite as realistic as live action footage.

But it still evokes emotion and gets the point across and looks good. They used a motion capture system that has forty cameras and stars Valorie Curry of Veronica Mars.

The only problem for me is Quantic Dream went Sony exclusive after Fahrenheit Indigo Prophecy and for example Heavy Rain was a PS3 exclusive when it was originally announced for PC. Same thing happened with Alan Wake from a different studio, Remedy. But they remedied that situation this year releasing Alan Wake for the PC although I'm wondering if anyone is going to port it to the Mac. I haven't tried running it via WINE although I may sooner or later... I digress. It's a little obvious to me they are running it on now "aging" hardware because the visuals aren't as sharp as stuff I've seen running in real time on my computer. But again it gets the job done.

Anyway, like I said earlier this is a good video and I recommend anyone who likes Science Fiction and robots to watch it as I believe it stands on its own as a rather good short film.

Some crude person on the comments said she's an "ugly dyke" but I disagree. I think she's quite cute.

Why do they have to always pick on PC Gamers with articles\threads like this? This is practically worse than the "The PC Is dying" meme. They say that they are tired of PC Gamers taking pot shots at them but it looks to me they they are the ones taking pot shots with things like this.

I wish the hate would stop. Especially since PCs are used to make mods and even the games themselves. I don't hate console gamers and I may play a console or two every once in a while. I just hate the attitude. But yeah things like this always happen when there are two or more things that are percieved as in competition by some people. Just like coke and pepsi.. or any other such thing. This whole thing is pretty immature even the article itself.

They make a few good points about the benefits of a PC but they liberally pepper it with things that put down PC Gamers in an immature way and it doesn't make the site look professional. They don't even have the facts right with some of those things... for example.. GamerTags (and Live) are coming to the PC so they shouldn't even be talked about there. Also I'm a PC Gaming fan but I don't necessarily agree with things like "Will Wright is a bigger genius than Shigeru Miyamoto." In fact the whole article is littered with generalizations that aren't necessarily true. All in all I give them a thumbs down for this article.

Some people at Inside Mac Games might yell at me saying it's just a joke article but I don't care. Sometimes things meant as jokes just aren't funny and I don't like the idea that someone could say whatever and then afterwards say it's a joke when someone takes them to task.

Take a look at this mockup sketch. Rumor has it that Sega was making that console and they where to emulate all the old Sega systems on it. It's pretty much an April fools joke but it's still an interesting thought. However even if it was real the problem with this mockup is that the controls are inadequate to emulate all the old systems. What a controller to do that would need is 6 buttons on the face, a D-pad, an analog stick and 2 analog triggers then would be able to play all the old games as they where intended.

Some of the questions didn't have the right answers for me but I answered them the best I could. They need to make an even better "fanboy test" for me lol (a bestest? =p)
Like I have said before I sort of lean more towards PS3 at the moment but for none of the reasons they list in this test.
