Here they talk about a new keyboard that Apple is supposed to be making for the new iMac coming soon. While the keyboard on the MacBook does look nice I wouldn't like it if they just made it like they chopped it off and put it on the iMac. The new keyboard should have all the keys that the old keyboard has and it should have less area around the outside of the typing area because it's not attached to a notebook. I wouldn't like it if it had a huge bevel around the whole keyboard like older keyboards have. I've gotten used to how the current keyboard has a slim outline. Dell has a newer one that is similar that I have used at school only it's missing the volume\eject keys.

Some people where saying they don't like the current keyboard because it's keys are "squishy" but I like them they don't seem "squishy" to me they just seem quieter than older keyboards.

I also wish they would drop the "mac mini is soon-to-be-sacrificed" thing until it's officially confirmed... so far I haven't seen anything about that other than their rumor mongering. What are they hoping for? A lie being repeated enough becomes truth for people?

I stopped by the Apple store with my family this (Tuesday) afternoon and of course they had a few iPhones setup to demonstrate. In general it seems to work pretty good. Some things weren't as fast as I thought they would be though like when you change the orientation of the phone from landscape to portrait. The thing that worked the best was the coverflow in the "iPod" mode. It "scrolls like butter". I love the way the touch screen works.. my mom commented that it looked pretty easy to use from watching me play with it. Youtube also looked pretty good there. I would kind of go so far as to say that youtube looks better there than anywhere else.

I didn't get to try the keyboard function of the screen since the phone's web browser wasn't connecting to the web for some reason. But in general I do like the phone.. however I can't overlook how expensive it is and how it only has 8GB of storage which has to be shared between all the things you would do on it so you can't just load up 8GB of one thing like music or videos. So I can't just sync it up with my Mac and be done because I have lots more than just 8GB of music alone.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.. there are two major things that I would like to see added and that is upping the storage amount to at least as much as the iPod videos and integrated Skype functionality. Or at least iChat with Audio chat support for when you are on Wi-Fi.

Lowering the price wouldn't hurt either. =P

It was kind of amusing hearing a sales person talking to a person next to me about the iPhone... he was simply regurgitating the same stuff you hear on the commercials VERY enthusiastically. I guess it may be good that I don't have that job because I don't know how long I would be able to keep that up.

Not only is Gears of War coming to the PC but also Viva Pinata! The first one was kind of an of course it's coming kind of thing for a while now but I didn't think the second one would ever come the PC much less this soon. I like how they say the PC version of GoW is getting lots of extras and a level editor so PC users will be able to make their own maps. I imagine the game will be as moddable as Unreal Tournament so I fully expect to see lots of mods come out for it. Some people have suggested that it might require a 360 pad to play but I don't buy that. Keyboard and Mouse is just as good for third person shooters as it is for first person shooters... I should know I beat both Max Payne games on the computer with keyboard and mouse. Here's a video from 1UP.com about the game:

Oh yeah and that previous posting with the Gears of War footage? That really was the PC version in action.

Viva Pinata seems pretty interesting to me I look forward to trying it out. Adia said she doesn't like Gears of War so much because it makes her nervous playing it but I think she may like the news of Viva Pinata coming to the PC more. Interesting thing to me is that game is by Rare who Microsoft had bought out a while back. This is the company that made Donkey Kong Kountry and Banjo Kazooie for Nintendo. They also made the Killer Instinct games.. throughout most of their history they have mostly made games for arcade and consoles so this is the first time that I know of that they have brought one of their games to the PC.. besides playing their older games in emulation which doesn't count because it's not official and they had nothing to do with it.

I need to see the videos of those games being announced I want to see the official footage and have more details about controller options, etc. Some people on the comments on the sites that have reported this so far are complaining that the game isn't exclusive any longer. It is still exclusive though... it's a Microsoft exclusive. =P It's either Windows (XP or Vista), or 360.

Now that I'm on the subject of games.. Steven Spieldburg is having a go in making some games and there are two games he is working on. In particular the one that interests me is the second one. In that game you are a secret agent who meets and Alien Girl who has different powers depending on how you relate to her in the game. It could either be really good or a flop but I tend to like the stuff Spieldburg does so I kind of feel like it may be good if it's anything like his movies. I know there are haters out there but I don't care I liked War of The Worlds.. it wasn't his best movie but it wasn't his worst either.. I think Lost World Jurassic Park was worse although it was still entertaining in its way.
