I have been playing lots of livecd's lately with mixed results.
The latest ones I have tried are two different Solaris livecd's, Yellowtab Zeta, Plan 9, and Linux with different desktop environments\window managers.
A lot of them either just don't work or just don't speak to me. If I had to choose I'd choose Elive running E17 as my favorite one because it has eye candy that I like and it's not bad to use either.
Of course none of them matches Mac OS X but it's always fun\a learning experience for me to try out new systems.
It's kind of like when I first got into Litestep and I first booted into the old school litestep desktop and it felt different enough that it made windows feel like a whole new OS and almost hackerish, lol.
