Portrait mode...

There are some screens that can be set to display in "portrait mode" that is instead of viewing the screen as you see it normally it is on its side and it looks like a tall screen. One thing that is especially suited for this mode is reading scanned in pages from things such as comic books or manga. On a widescreen notebook you can view two pages side by side but they would still be bigger if you viewed one page in portrait mode fullscreen. I have read some manga on my laptop that way but since it's not a tablet I have to turn the whole thing sideways and hold it like a large book. I wouldn't mind having a tablet so I can just flip the screen over and lay it flat on the keyboard and use that for applications like that.
