Saw this at digg. I commend this person for returning the money and it even kind of amazes me that he turned down a reward as well. Shows integrity and strength of character... I myself probably would turn it in but I'm not sure I'd be able to turn down an award. A thing that amazes me is that even my parents are confused as to what you are supposed to do in situations like this. When I was talking about the subject with my dad the other week when it came up he was even upping the ante saying larger and larger sums of money and I was like.. damn! You are making it worse and worse trying to make it better! A thing about this is this actually doesn't have as much to do with your religion as some people might believe.. my parents for example go to church every Sunday... but my Dad might have kept the money.

It's in these times when you have to put yourself in the shoes of others... how would you feel if you where a harried parent who runs their own business and to top that off it's the holidays. I'm sure if you lost something you would like it returned. People shouldn't assume that since the person had this much money on them that they had to have been some kind of "evil drug dealer" or other unsavory person.

I don't like it for people to call the Teen a moron for not keeping the money or for even not accepting a reward. Good deeds should be awarded with praise.. not scorn. Some people went so far as to say if they knew the teen who returned the money they would beat the crap out of him.
