Quake IV & Danger Mouse
Aug. 4th, 2006 08:56 pmToday they released a demo of Quake IV for the Mac and I tried it and to my surprise it actually is faster than Doom 3. Well it seems faster anyway it could be placebo... I don't know. Anyway it was pretty impressive that a newer game would run so well that I feel like getting the full version. The demo was a little too short though. It kind of makes me wish Prey would be ported to the Mac but since the engine for Prey and Quake IV and Doom 3 are the same and Quake IV and Doom 3 are both full ports I would like for Prey to be a full port rather than a ciderized game.
I just saw this interesting thing too it's a mouse that looks better than the Mighty Mouse. . It's called Danger mouse. The beef I have with Mighty Mouse is the way the buttons (or sensors) work..... there is no actual buttons on the Mighty mouse. Instead there are sensors and when you for example right click the whole mouse surface turns into a right click and stays that way until you lift up your finger and click with your other finger. That's just not comfortable or intuitive to me. Danger Mouse uses actual buttons and looks almost just like a mighty mouse. Plus the bluetooth version comes with a unique charging station.
