Family, School, Macs, etc.
Jan. 17th, 2006 11:46 pmI haven't gotten to mention that my sister just showed up the other week because her car broke down around my neighborhood. I first went to Wal-mart and bought her some oil for her car which she thought she needed but that didn't work she broke down a few miles from where I live. So I went and picked her up and brought her to my apartment so she can stay over while she contacts who she needs to get her car towed and whatever. I accommodated her I let her eat whatever she wanted out of the fridge I let her hook up her laptop to my router to use the internet, gave her the remote to the tv and I also gave her a pillow and a blanket so she could sleep on my futon that night and the next day I fed her a meal. You know what she did? She later in the afternoon called a friend and complained that it sucks here and asked for them to pick her up and handed me her keys and told me just make sure our family gets the keys.
It would really suck if things where like that everyday.
About school: things seem to be going well at school I have been making progress with the work I have to complete.
Mac: My mac desktop is pretty I guess you could say basic sporting the latest Aqua extreme theme by Max Rudberg which takes the new metal style from iTunes and applies it to all the metal windows though I probably would have preferred for it to be white like the new unified style like seen on mail and preferences.
Speaking of Mac I haven't written about this yet but yes in case anyone is wondering I have seen that they have announced the first Macs featuring intel processors.
Initially I was excited but then seeing the speeds the first macs come out which one of them is supposed to be a high end deal (as far as I know) the Macbook pro and seeing people proposing that mac mini and iBook will feature core solo it doesn't put a lot of confidence in me in regards to the latter two models.
Some people want to use the mac mini as a media center so I think they should put in a core duo into it and if they have to clock it a bit lower than the Macbook pro. Some people might argue that people who buy the mac mini are looking for an entry level computer and that they don't need a core duo but what of those people who want to do more things with it than that and want the Mac Mini's form factor or they simply want to BYOKDM (bring your own keyboard display and mouse) like Apple has traditionally marketed the computer for and they don't want to shell out for a high end powermac tower for both size and money reasons? Some people think if there is more parity between the mac mini and the other models that people wouldn't have a reason to buy the other models but i disagree.
There are reasons for choosing other models over the mac mini and that is if you want more portability, a built in screen, built in iSight, etc. spec's aren't the only thing that differentiates them.
Anyway, I reinstalled snapshooter so here is a fancy preview this time:
