I'm particularly amused by what they are now previewing at the Doctor Who web site at bbc.co.uk. Apparently they are also making a collection of animated shorts which add up to one animated episode of Doctor Who. I already like the 3D model of The 10th Doctor and his hair. It's also pretty cool because in that episode he goes to Roswell, NM. I know in the 9th Doctor's adventures (the episode titled Dalek) he went to Area 51 and the tenth doctor went to New York to encounter the Daleks again. but this is closer than either to me.

I know this may be wishful thinking but I hope that they have a mind to see if this is successful and if it is *crosses fingers* then they would make a whole season or two of 10th Doctor adventures (with David Tennent's voice) perhaps even after the 11th Doctor has taken over in the live action version. That would make me happy. Perhaps these episodes could be ones that took place in between the live action 10th doctor episodes... side adventures in other words.

While they are at it they can do that with any Doctor who's actor is still alive and able\willing to do voice work. I think that would be nice to see. Even if they did just one episode per past Doctor.

I have just seen a photo in the doctor who community and I just had to make a comment. The photo in question is this one.

Here are my thoughts. His companion is cute.... very cute... and attractive..... Nothing to complain about there. Now the doctor on the other hand.

I've gotten used to his hair style so that's no surprise but what is up with that jacket and that bow tie? I used to like bow ties as a child but I don't anymore. The pants he's wearing look kind of like a pair that I have but I'm not sure I like how he rolled them up. They both get points from me for wearing black socks but I have heard that white socks are mainly an american thing.

I may get used to his new wardrobe and he may have better stuff in store but just like with the 10th doctor's blue suit I am underwhelmed with this doctor's attire. I was glad when the Doctor Hand took the 10th Doctor's blue suit off to another dimension.

I'm still on the fence about this new Doctor in general but I think the BBC does know what it's doing... at least I try to have faith that they do.

The disease Alzheimer's is a sad one but there is something amusing here with this digg article. As others there have pointed out it the title almost looks like they are talking about Doctor Who. Like "False claims made by Doctor Who can reverse Alzheimer's!" Wow, Doctor Who can fix lots of things in unexpected ways! Either that or watching Doctor Who reverses Alzheimer's.. I was like I always thought it was a good show but it has benefits too! ;)

Doctor Who TARDIS USB Hub Holy crap.. is that cool or what? I want to put that on top of my Mac Mini! This video of it is amusing. My birthday is coming up in five days. Anyone want to buy me one as a gift? ;) (yeah right). It's not available there anymore but on Amazon it's available and it's $60USD! Holy crap that's expensive! It would be nice to have though however I think that I probably might want to get the TARDIS talking bank better. It's $14USD.

The former site seems to have a few other Doctor Who related toys like these "phone flashers" which look neat to me.

Wow.. this page is just loaded with goodness.. take a look at these "Star Wars Chubbies" (more like chibis) which are russion Matryoshka style nesting dolls. Another interesting thing is the matroska (.mkv) format is named after these dolls because it's a container format that holds other codecs within in a typical .mkv file.

What can I say I love toys. :)

In about four days from now. I'm still not 100% happy with his new suit but I can overlook it. I saw the new flash thingy on their site and for a sec I was worried that I was already missing it but it looks like I'm not!

I just finished watching the pilot episode for "The Sarah Jane Adventures" which I just found out was aired recently. Two things that I don't like however is no K-9 because he's going to come out in another spinoff with no other ties to the "whoniverse" being developed by Jetix (disney) of all things. The other thing I don't like is we have to wait until later this year to see more episodes.

But anyway it was interesting how Sarah Jane Smith now has a "sonic lipstick" and a watch capable of detecting Alien life forms. I'm interested in seeing what kind of stories they will make with this because I almost would think that they would have almost any story that you can think of in the whoniverse covered by Doctor Who and Torchwood.
